At DHU Healthcare, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture where all colleagues can thrive and achieve their full potential, whilst celebrating all identities and backgrounds. By embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging into our culture and strategies, we create an environment where our communities can thrive, both internally and externally.
‘Our Vision’ Our vision is to support our communities in living healthier, happier, and fairer lives. Equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging is the heart of everything we do. By embedding these values, we ensure that everyone, whether patient, colleague, or volunteer, is valued, respected, and celebrated.
‘Why EDIB Matters’ Equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging is the golden thread that runs through DHU. Our diverse workforce brings a wealth of perspectives and experiences, enabling us to better meet the needs of our communities. With this, we continue to provide compassionate, culturally competent care.
‘Join Us’ We invite you to join us on our journey of equity, diversity, inclusion & belonging. Whether patient, colleague, candidate, or community member, your voice matters. Together, we foster a space where diversity is celebrated, connections are strengthened, and everyone can thrive and make a meaningful impact.
Our Initiatives
- Inclusive Recruitment: Through consistent evaluation of our recruitment practices, we pride ourselves on a transparent and equitable process, developing a diverse workforce which truly represents our local communities.
- Training and Development: We all thrive when we are invested into. Here at DHU, we provide a variety of training and development opportunities, supporting progression for all colleagues, ensuring diverse representation across sectors.
- Employee Networks: Our 7 Employee Networks provide colleagues with a safe space to discover, develop and direct change. We are only as strong as the communities we represent, and with our Networks, we ensure accessibility for all.
- Community Engagement: Factors such as health and socioeconomic disparity are at the core of our dedicated efforts. We actively engage with local communities to better understand need and tailor our approach accordingly.
By setting Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging as the foundations of our organisation, we create a standard of accessibility for all. We will continue to strengthen our connections with our communities and assess our practices to ensure true equity. You are at the core of who we are. #Youmatter
