DHU Healthcare respond to more 2.5 million NHS111 calls a year (2021/22) from advice centres in Derby, Chesterfield, Oldbury, Chippenham and Leicester.
From March 1 2023 we will be responsible for an estimated 20% of all NHS111 calls in the country – covering both the East and West Midlands – a population of over ten million.
To support this provision across such a large geographical area, DHU 111 employs a team of almost 1500 made up of Health Advisers, Clinical Advisers (Nurses, Pharmacists, Paramedics) and Dental Nurses.
In 2019, an assessment of existing sites by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) reported that ‘staff involved and treated people with compassion, kindness, dignity and respect’ – contributing to an overall rating of ‘OUTSTANDING’.
