Loughborough NHS Urgent Treatment Centre

The Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) is here to help you with your urgent care needs when:

  • Your GP practice is closed, and you need urgent treatment
  • For an injury such as a suspected broken bone
  • For cuts, minor injuries, scalds and burns
  • For any other urgent but not emergency attention.

Treatment at Loughborough UTC can be accessed by:

  • Calling or going online to NHS 111
  • You could be given an appointment by your GP, NHS 111 or from the Emergency Department.
  • Walk in capacity is available at this service, but it is advisable to use NHS111 to ensure you are guided to the most appropriate service with a confirmed appointment time or arrival time slot. This will minimise your waiting time and, where walk-in availability is limited, it will avoid long waits or signposting to alternative services.

All patients will be assessed and seen in order of clinical priority.

TS18-Loughborough UTC 3.5.22.jpgUpon arrival, you will be directed to the etriage stations where your personal and medical details will need to be entered on to the etriage-ipad. This is essential to help our clinicians understand more about your current health before they see you to help with their clinical assessment. If you are having difficulties completing the triage a member of staff will be on hand to support.

Please remember to treat our colleagues with the same kindness and compassion you would expect to be treated yourself. All of our patients are important to us but please do be aware that during busy teams, we must prioritise the most urgent cases first.
