As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, DHU Healthcare plays a crucial role within this consortium, delivering essential services such as 111, urgent treatment, virtual wards, community nursing, urgent and emergency out-of-hours care, and more to local and regional communities.

DHU Healthcare is the single largest provider of 111 services in the country accounting for almost 25% of all received calls, providing urgent and emergency care across the Midlands.

We are an integral part of multiple regional health systems but don’t always get the same recognition as more established and traditional models of healthcare.
“We are the ones that provide advice over the phone at evenings, weekends or if you can’t get to a GP, if your loved one is ill or hurt and you don’t know what to do or where to go and our people are the ones who come to treat you in your own home if you can’t get to a hospital or clinic. As a partnership and a collaborative, we can become stronger and be in a better position to continue doing that and provide that support to ensure the wider health system can become more efficient and cope with increasing demand.
