At DHU Healthcare, we’re always excited to welcome new talent who bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team. This week, we’re introducing Will Crumpton, who joined us at the start of January as a Corporate Finance Business Partner. With a passion for finance, data, and efficiency, Will is already making an impact.
“I’ve always been drawn to numbers and data-driven decision-making. I studied Economics at the University of Nottingham, specialising in Industrial Economics, because I wanted to understand how businesses operate at a strategic level. My interest in STEM and finance naturally led me to a career where I could use data to drive efficiencies and improve financial performance.”
Before joining DHU, Will built his finance career at multinational windows company, where he progressed from Finance Administrator to Management Accountant over nearly three years. “It gave me a strong foundation in financial management, but I wanted to apply my skills somewhere that aligned with my values.”
“I was particularly drawn to working for a Community Interest Company. It’s important to me that my work has a positive social impact. In corporate finance, it’s easy to focus purely on numbers, but at DHU, every financial decision ultimately supports better patient care. That’s what makes this role so rewarding.”
Will’s role focuses on cost-saving and efficiency, ensuring that taxpayer money is used in the best possible way. “I look at finances through the lens of the government’s ‘Three Es’ framework – Economy, Efficiency, and Effectiveness. It’s about making sure every pound is working hard, so resources are available where they’re needed most.”
Since joining, Will has spent time meeting teams across the organisation, including Governance, Estates, and Finance, to understand how DHU operates. “There’s a lot to take in, but the warm welcome I’ve received has made the transition smooth. A huge thank you to the Finance team, who have been incredibly supportive.”
