We’re creating a series of articles to introduce you to a range of colleagues, showing how our varied teams and colleagues work and fit into the way DHU approaches patient care.

This week, we shine the spotlight on Louise Sergent, who is a Dental Performance Manager within the NHS 111 service. Find out more about Louise’s role below

Louise said: “I started working for DHU seven years ago as an Operational Shift Manager. During that time I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of roles for DHU 111, my roles have varied from Operational Shift Manager, 111 Team Manager, 111 Absence Manager and 111 Dental Performance Manager.”

“As Dental Performance Manager I am responsible for the Dental Team across multiple sites at DHU. My duties involve recruitment of the expanding dental team, individual and team performance management and wellbeing. I am also responsible for representing DHU111 at Dental Service stakeholders meetings. I collaboratively work with the operational shift leads, senior management teams, CQI, HR, Training and recruitment.”

“No two days are the same here. I am always busy meeting with team members, conducting interviews for new team members and supporting the Operational Team to ensure a smooth running of a busy shift. What always stands out for me working at DHU is my fantastic team and great colleagues. We all pull together to support each other.”

“I have many proud moments working for DHU, most of which have been in the last 2 years during the pandemic. My team and colleagues have showed great strength continually providing the highest quality of care and compassion to patients and each other.”
