DHU Healthcare showed off its #OneDHU team spirit again as they took part in the 11th Midlands Charity Football Tournament to raise money for charity.

On the day the event raised a remarkable £1100. All the donations from competing teams, as well as a raffle, went towards the charity me&dee who help provide much-needed memory holidays for families in need.

The annual 5-a-side football tournament not only helps DHU to form better ties with organisations in the area, but also demonstrates our wider commitment to supporting the communities in which we serve.

Viny Singh, DHU’s IT Operational Manager, worked hard beforehand to coordinate and organise our teams for the event. He said: “DHU have been supporting the me&dee charity by competing in the Midlands Charity Football Tournament for the last four years. It’s a great example of our citizenship in action and DHU’s commitment to strengthen our ties with the community.

"Playing outside was a big difference from the previous years and on the day we made it through to the semi-finals of the competition! It was a huge achievement for the team. Well done everyone!"

Nikki Kinsey, Director of Sellick Partnership, said: “On behalf of Sellick Partnership, I am writing to thank DHU Healthcare for supporting our 11th annual Midlands Charity Football Tournament. The spirit and atmosphere has been exemplary and I would like to thank everyone involved for making this year a huge success.”

Congratulations to the team and no doubt we will be joining in next year!
