In November, DHU Healthcare’s Learning & Development Coordinator, Hannah Stavrou, completed an inspiring challenge to practice yoga every day for 30 days to raise money for the mental health charity, Mind. Through her dedication and commitment, Hannah not only reached her goal but also raised an incredible £500 to support Mind’s vital work.
Reflecting on her experience, Hannah shared, “I joined one of Mind's fundraisers '30 days of yoga in November' to improve my own mental health and hopefully support others by donating to this charity. Breaking down barriers to accessing mental health and removing stigma is something I am personally very passionate about.”
Hannah further highlighted Mind’s impact, saying, “They campaign and encourage fundraising and donations. They have so much support and information on their website, and they also have a support line that is a safe confidential space to talk about how you are feeling.”
As a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider) and lead for DHU’s MHFAider network, Hannah is proud to champion mental health awareness both personally and professionally. Her efforts, which were match funded by the Social Impact Committee, underscore DHU Healthcare’s commitment to supporting colleagues’ and communities’ mental well-being.
