More NHS 111 Health Advisors at DHU Healthcare are celebrating after successfully completing the Care Certificate, building on the success of the pioneering programme launched earlier this year.

In January, DHU became one of the first organisations to tailor the nationally recognised Care Certificate for NHS 111 Health Advisors, recognising the vital role colleagues play in delivering safe, compassionate care over the phone. Following the success of the pilot cohort, a further group of colleagues has now completed the programme, with more expected to achieve the qualification in the coming weeks.

Delivered by DHU's Clinical Practice Development Team, the Care Certificate has been adapted to support colleagues in non-patient-facing roles, helping them develop the knowledge, confidence and understanding needed to meet the Care Certificate's 16 standards within their role.

So far, 12 colleagues from the latest cohort have successfully completed the programme. Congratulations to Ellena-Mai, Joanna, Kia, Omotoyosi, Joanne, Ashley, Nilanka, Melissa, Delainey, Leah, Hannah, Fay, Helen, Andrew and Matthew on this fantastic achievement, with more colleagues expected to complete the Care Certificate in the coming weeks.

Sarah Goodwin, Clinical Mandatory Trainer at DHU Healthcare, said:

"It's been wonderful to see another group of NHS 111 colleagues complete the Care Certificate and the enthusiasm they've shown throughout the programme. Alongside developing knowledge and confidence, the course encourages colleagues to reflect on the values and behaviours that underpin compassionate, person-centred care. Congratulations to everyone who has completed the programme so far - you should all be incredibly proud of what you've achieved."

The Care Certificate continues to provide NHS 111 Health Advisors with a strong foundation for their role while supporting ongoing professional development across the service.

By investing in the development of its people, DHU continues to strengthen its NHS 111 service, helping colleagues build their skills and confidence while ensuring patients across the Midlands receive safe, compassionate care when they need it most.
