We have some incredible people here at DHU and whether we’re looking after you or about to welcome you as part of our DHU team, we want you to know who they are!

We’ve been talking to Obi who has just changed roles from a 111 Clinical Advisor to Continuous Quality Improvement and Directory of Service Lead – here’s what she told us about her time with us at DHU…

“I joined DHU in March 2024 as a Clinical Advisor after spending several years working in critical care. I grew up in London and later moved to Leicester, where I worked at University Hospitals of Leicester.

“I was looking for something more flexible and became a Clinical Advisor with DHU at Anstey Frith House. The role allowed me to use my clinical knowledge while giving me the flexibility I needed as a new mum.

“Eighteen months into my role as a Clinical Advisor, an opportunity came up to apply for a CQI position. I was successful and switched roles — and I absolutely love it!

“The positive impact I have on patient journeys is no longer limited to my own assessments. While I still assess patients and support advice lines, I now use these interactions to identify themes, learning opportunities and bottlenecks. This helps me suggest, test and implement service improvements that benefit our patients, our staff and the wider service.

“I also identify themes that relate to external health system services, and through our strong partnerships, we’re able to influence positive changes beyond DHU as well.”
