At DHU Healthcare, we know that when patients are heard, care improves. That’s why our Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) are so important they give patients a voice in how services are developed and delivered.

On Wednesday 19th June, our Patient Engagement and Experience Team hosted a successful PPG Recruitment Day at Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre. The aim was simple: to raise awareness of PPGs and encourage new members to join. Through face-to-face conversations, flyers and a QR code for digital sign-up, the event helped bring more people into the conversation about their care.

“PPGs are a vital part of how we listen, improve and make care more meaningful,” said Judith Brown, Patient Engagement and Experience Manager at DHU. “We’re proud to work with patients who care about their communities and want to help shape the future of healthcare.”

The team handed out DHU-branded welcome packs and connected with dozens of patients, spreading the word about how to get involved. With new sign-ups now coming in via the QR code, our Patient Participation network continues to grow.

Thank you to everyone who supported the day and to every patient who takes the time to share, challenge and support us.

Want to get involved? Look out for further events as we’ll be holding more in the future.
