As a not-for-profit, Community Interest Company that provides NHS services for you, DHU is now also a certified social enterprise.
That means that with us, ‘care’ isn’t just something we provide when you come through our doors, when we visit your home or when you call our services; we follow through on our commitment to local communities, health improvement, sustaining our environment and creating a better place for our patients.

Stephen Bateman is DHU’s Chief Executive, he said: “Partnership and collaboration is central to the way we work at DHU and an essential part of improving what we do for you, our patients and the people who work with us. We work closely within a number of health systems but by joining other social enterprises, we can join together to give ourselves a bigger voice to support our workforce and maximise our social impact.
“This certification is also recognition that we prioritise purpose, people and the planet over profit in all decisions, outlines our commitment to environmental and sustainability projects that aligns with our CARE values.
