Congratulations to one of our nurses who picked up a prestigious regional award this week.
Zoe Hunt, DHU’s Clinical Practice Development Lead, was handed the Recognition of Excellence in Practice Supervision and Assessment Certificate at Derby University.
The award was given to recognise Zoe’s outstanding contribution to student supervision and assessment, working closely with the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Community Interest Company DHU is committed to partnership working that benefits local communities and what better way to show this than to encourage and develop nurses and clinicians on the first step of their journey.
Zoe added: “I was handed this certificate on International Nurses Day which feels so apt. It’s been an absolute privilege to guide, advise and support those who are working towards a career in healthcare, something I’ve lived and breathed my whole working life.
“I’d like to thank Rebecca Gardner, one of our Trainee Nurse Apprentices, for nominating me. Looking after and encouraging our own people to make that step towards a career in nursing is inspiring to me. The hard work, commitment and dedication they show towards a career that touches and makes a difference to so many people is what makes this job so special.”
