As providers of vital services to the NHS frontline – across the East Midlands and beyond – the team at DHU Health Care will be joining in a host of national celebrations on Monday, July 5th 2021 and reflecting on the incredible work that happens every day in health and social care services.
On what will be the 73rd anniversary of the National Health Service, events across the country will remind all of us just how much the NHS is treasured – as well as raising money for NHS Charities Together and the National Care Association. With a focus on thanks and remembrance it marks the first of what will become an annual NHS, Social Care and Frontline Workers’ Day.
Stephen Bateman, Chief Executive of DHU Health Care, comments:
“The words ‘thank you’ can never be said often enough and so we are delighted to have another opportunity, through the first Frontline Worker’s Day, to pass on our sincere appreciations to all the people that make up our fantastic #OneDHU team.
“Over the last year, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, they have given the very best compassionate and high-quality care to our patients. They have also given each other support through difficult and challenging times – absolutely demonstrating the CARE values that are at the heart of what we do.
“As well as thinking about all that we have achieved, it is equally important to remember those on the front line who lost their lives during the pandemic in the service of others. The two-minutes’ silence at 11am on July 5th will give all of us at DHU Health Care the chance to pay our respects and to think about loved-ones, friends and colleagues who passed-away during the pandemic.”
Nearly 2,000 people work for DHU Health Care, supporting the NHS with a range of services including NHS 111, urgent care and out of hours GPs. In recognition of their hard work and commitment all eligible members of the team will receive a ‘thank you’ letter and gift voucher on July 5th to tie in with the focus of the day.
“It’s simply our way of passing on our heartfelt gratitude for all that our people have done to support DHU Health Care through a difficult time and experience.”
