DHU Health Care Celebrating Nurses Day

Nursing in 2018 is a modern and dynamic profession. The roles you fulfil are so varied and the skills you have so vast. This Nurses’ Day we want to say thank you for dedicating your careers to delivering outstanding patient care.

Celebrate with us over the weekend of Friday, 11th – Sunday 13th May 2018.

There will be posters, banners, balloons and bunting displayed at Ashgate Manor, The Johnson Building, Fosse House and at Loughborough Urgent Care Centre.

How can you get involved? Nurses! We’d love to hear some of your amazing stories, the reasons why you chose a career in nursing and what you enjoy most about it.  Also, if you have any pictures we’d really like to see them as we want to display them in a collage and as screen savers over the weekend.

If you’re working on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th May we’d really like to see you in uniform, be it old or new! For those nurses who are working over this period and will be patient facing we request that you wear your usual attire.

There will also be a cake sale on Friday, 11th at all 3 sites so if you’re the next Mary Berry why don’t you knock up a Victoria Sponge or two for us to sell.  All proceeds will go to the RCN Foundation.

Please forward any stories or photographs to:

  • Ashgate Manor – Tom Oxley, Annabelle Martin, Courtney Savidge or Jade Robinson
  • The Johnson Building – Corinne McGarry, Megan Bollington or Kirsty Forrest
  • LUCC & Fosse House – Ruella Rodrigues or Holly Burgin

Looking forward to seeing you all in your uniforms!!
