DHU Urgent Care Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) have achieved a rating of ‘good’ from the Government health watchdog, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) when they carried out their inspection in December 2018.
DHU Urgent Care (LLR) provides a range of services in the region including Home Visiting, Night Nursing Service, Integrated Urgent Care, a Clinical Navigation and Leicester City Hubs, GP Practices and Primary Care Streaming along with the Loughborough Urgent Care Centre. DHU were rated as ‘Good’ in each of the five categories, which are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led.
The Care Quality Commission inspection looked at the safety and effectiveness of services, as well reviewing responsiveness and leadership and care provided to our patients. DHU were observed providing urgent care services, patient satisfaction rates were examined and assessors also engaged with DHU staff.
The CQC commented on how staff treated patients with kindness, compassion, dignity and respect. Also, that is was evident the services had good systems to manage risk so that safety incidents were less likely to happen along with a clear vision and credible strategy to deliver high quality patient care. It was clear from the outset that staff felt respected, supported, valued and they were proud to work for DHU Urgent Care (LLR).
DHU Urgent Care (LLR) is a Division of DHU Health Care CIC, a community interest, not for profit organisation. DHU Health Care CIC provides NHS Urgent Care services in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire along with NHS111 Services for the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland and Milton Keynes).
