Alice In Wonderland Big Hit For Charity – Oh, yes it is!

Our resident luvvie Tom Oxley, PA to Director of Nursing and Quality, has been treading the boards once more to raise money for charity as the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland.

The Chesterfield Community Players’ pantomime adaptation of Alice in Wonderland ran from the 30th of January to the 9th of February and raised a fantastic £8,000 for local charities and organisations.

DHU Health Care kindly agreed to sponsor The Chesterfield Community Players and reserved two nights at the production for their staff to attend at the Playhouse.

The performances were a great success with an audience of over a thousand visiting to see the talented cast and crew sing and dance their hearts out for a good cause.

Over the past three decade The Community Players of Chesterfield have collectively raised nearly 100k for local charities and organisations by performing pantomimes. Scores of groups have benefitted from donation including Ashgate Hospice, Chesterfield Royal Hospital ICU, Little Princess Trust and the RSPCA to name but a few.
